Members, guests, family members and some four legged friends were invited to a morning outing to learn about the Jersey Oyster. We were introduced to both the traditional fishing and modern methods of oyster cultivation.
It was a fascinating walk, sampling seaweed that has great healing properties for your skin and some members were brave enough to eat limpets straight off the rock – olden day chewing gum! The morning ended back at the Seymour pub with oyster sampling. A great morning was had by all.
