Our summer event in early July evening opened with a glass of fizz on the terrace at La Mare Vineyards, watching the sun go down over the vines, before our Whiteley Association’s Summer Party moved inside for the main event.
Captain Jane Delap (Retired) spoke on “How to be a unicorn” — 30 years flying for British Airways, from breaking into a cockpit few women occupied at the time to captaining the 777 fleet long-haul.
We enjoyed a delicious meal giving our members time to network and catch up with members both old and new.
Jane took questions from the room afterwards, and the evening wound down over dinner, coffee and petit fours.
